Result & Award Criteria

Each question is worth 1 marks. A correct answer earns mark, leaving it blank results in 0 marks, and a wrong answer receives 0 marks. It is recommended to leave the question blank if you are unsure.

How your rank in your class is calculated?

  1. Your rank in class is based on your individual score for your class.
  2. Out of a class size of 35 students, 20% of them (7 students) will receive trophies and medals.
  3. Higher scores result in higher ranks. For example: If A scores 76, B scores 74, C scores 70, and so on, then the ranks would be A (Rank 1), B (Rank 2), and rest top 5 will be awarded. Rank 1 and Rank 2 will get trophy & certificate and 5 others will be medallions.
  4. In case of tied scores (when two or more students have the same score), the number of incorrect answers is considered. Fewer incorrect answers lead to a higher rank.

For example: If A, B, and C all score 76 marks:

A: 38 correct answers, 6 incorrect answers, 6 not attempted.

B: 38 correct answers, 8 incorrect answers, 4 not attempted.

C: 38 correct answers, 5 incorrect answers, 7 not attempted.

In this case: C has the highest rank (Rank 1) because they have fewer incorrect answers. A and B will have the next ranks (Rank 2 and Rank 3).

Cash Rewards:

Note: – Cash rewards are equally distributed if there is more than one student at any ranked position.

On tied (same marks) situation.

Ranks are only shared when all conditions for two or more students are identical.

If two students have the same score and the same number of incorrect answers, they will share the same rank.

If a third student has a lower score, they will receive the next available rank, skipping the rank that would have been assigned to the tied students.
